Representing the paradoxical duality of existence, Contronym is a visual symphony of contrast between what most see as art, and what simply is art. At first glance, the observer is confronted with two opposing forces — the delicate juxtaposition between the raw, unpolished anatomy of the canvas, and the warm artwork it envelops.

At its conception, the canvas was inverted by artists Benjamin Steer & Matthew Turk of the Schneed Collective, intent on revealing its secrets to the world. Function, structure and esoteric beauty must not be veiled from total inception.
